"Good price for what you get"
I went with Newshosting mainly because the price seemed reasonable compared to a few other options I looked at. From the way it was presented, I got the impression it wasn’t trying to be overly flashy, just a solid service for a fair cost.

So far, that assumption has been about right. It feels like good value, I’m not paying some ridiculous amount, and it does what I need without making things complicated.

There’s not much else to say, honestly. It hasn’t caused me any headaches, the cost feels fair, and for now I’m happy with what I’m getting.

"I’ve been using Newshosting for a while now..."
I’ve been using Newshosting for a while now, and the connection limits have been more than enough for my setup. Downloads stay nice and steady even when I’ve got a few things going at once. I haven’t had to tweak much or mess around with settings, which I really appreciate. It just works well...

As someone who doesn’t really think of myself as techy, I was relieved by how easy this was to set up. The instructions were clear enough that I had it running in just a few minutes. I did have to go back and double-check one setting, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Overall, it made a really good first impression

I mean, it does feel private so far, and the setup was straightforward enough. I like that it uses SSL, and I haven’t run into any strange account problems. I did have to pause and figure out some of the settings, though, they weren’t immediately obvious to me.

"I felt left in the dark with missing posts"
The speed has been okay, but a lot of older posts either fail completely or show up with big chunks missing. What made it especially frustrating was feeling kind of left in the dark about why it kept happening or if anything was being fixed. After dealing with the poor completion rates for a while, I’m thinking about switching.

I’ve mostly been using newshosting to grab older stuff, it’s been better than I assumed. My usual shortcut is to think anything old is probably gone by now, but a surprising amount was still available. The retention seems really solid, and I haven’t had much reason to complain.

I mostly use newshosting for the Usenet search, and it’s been solid for me. It usually finds what I’m looking for without a lot of hassle, which I think is what most customers probably care about. Every now and then the results can be a little hit or miss, and I’ll have to try a few different search terms, but it’s not a huge deal. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s not perfect, but it does the job well

"Does what I need without much hassle"
I’ve been using Newshosting’s VPN for a few weeks, and overall it’s been reliable. The speeds are good enough for normal browsing and streaming, which is really what matters to me. Like you’d expect, it can slow down a bit if I pick a server far away, but that seems normal for any VPN.

Setup was straightforward, and it usually stays connected without me having to think about it. I did have a couple of drops on my laptop, but nothing that ruined my day. It’s not flawless, but for everyday use, it’s a solid option and does the job.

"easy newsreader, just a few small quirks"
i mostly use newshosting because of the built-in newsreader, and it’s been simple to get the hang of. search works well enough, downloads are easy to follow, and i didn’t have to mess with a bunch of setup to get started.

the only reason i’m not giving it 5 stars is that the layout feels a little dated, and every now and then i end up clicking around more than i’d like. still, it does what i need and it’s been working fine for me.

I’ve been using newshosting mainly for the speed, it’s been really solid so far. Downloads usually kick off right away and stay consistent, even when I’m grabbing larger files. I also like that I don’t have to keep checking on things like I did with some other services. It’s straightforward, but it does what I need it to do. Overall, I’d say it’s been worth it for me.

They do have a good range of content, and I can usually find most of what I’m looking for. That said, it takes more effort than I’d like to sort through everything and actually get to the stuff I need. It’s decent overall, just not as easy or straightforward as it should be.

"I ran into a little issue while..."
I ran into a little issue while trying to get my account set up, i figured it would take a while to sort out. But support got back to me really fast and actually seemed to understand what I was saying instead of sending a generic reply. They fixed it without dragging me through a bunch of unnecessary back-and-forth, which I really appreciated. To me, that kind of support says a lot. Easy 5 stars.
